IOC is a highly controversial winner (so far)
I am very bearish on its long term future, however it did have surprising
uptrend until now.
This ER will be critical and interesting to watch, and the post-ER momentum will be huge. Prepare for bi-directional with bearish bias. So I have the trading focus on Tuesday.
Don't bet ER though, as a trading rule (my own, if you want to bet, I would
say airforce it) on any highly controversial ones, no matter winner or loser.

InterOil Announces First Quarter 2007 Results

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(MARKET WIRE)--May 14, 2007 -- InterOil Corporation (Toronto:IOL.TO - News) (AMEX:IOC - News) (POMSoX:IOC) today announced first quarter 2007 net loss of $5.7 million, or $0.19 per share (diluted), which represents a 60% improvement compared with $14.4 million net loss or $0.49 per share diluted in the 2006 first quarter. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were $2.7 million in the first quarter, up strongly compared with a negative $9.1 million in the same quarter last year. The first quarter 2007 net loss includes $3.4 million associated with the expensing of the Elk trend seismic program.

totally confused. Why it's still going upwords?
I missed the conference call, and try to catch up. basiclly the management made another promise saying the on going elk 2 well has great potential and shows pressure better than expected.
after watching today's trading, I would say IOC will be week for a while, their earning ability is simply not there, you just cannot keep promising and never delieve
